There are many ways to educate your toddler, but sometimes you just need a break from the books. Toddlers love to explore and play with new materials, so here are 4 fun activities that will help them learn while they have fun!
Paint with shaving cream
Try using shaving cream when you are doing painting activities with toddlers because it is very easy for children to squeeze out of the can, but it does not dry up like paint. Toddlers love to stick their fingers in shaving cream and feel how smooth it is against their skin.
Shaving cream messes are also easy to clean up because all you need to do is wipe them off with a wet towel or rag!
Make musical instruments
Toddlers can spend hours making noise with musical instruments. They can bang on pots, pans, spoons, utensils of all kinds (even wooden spoons), play with maracas made from plastic containers or dried pinto beans inside a sock tied up at the bottom, and so much more!
Sidewalk chalk
Let your child unleash their inner artist with sidewalk chalk! Toddlers can spend hours drawing on the pavement, and it is a great way for them to improve their color recognition skills.
Building forts
Toddlers can spend hours building forts with pillows, sofa cushions, blankets, chairs and anything else they find lying around the house. Building is a fun way for them to develop shape recognition and spatial awareness. Be sure to accept the invite to tour your child's new creation!
